As we have been enjoying the action rhyme 'Dingle Dangle Scarecrow' we thought this story would be a good choice for our next Julia Donaldson book . . . After we had shared the story together, the children talked about what they had enjoyed, here are just a couple of their responses: Hope - "A wedding book! Them got married, Harry and Betty, Betty and Harry! They need to get something for their wedding - feathers dress and flowers, pink flowers" Shelby - "I like flowers, I have flowers in my house" As we looked through some of the pages again to see the part where Harry was taking the flowers to Betty, Shelby told us he was "Taking them, to knock on the door and give them the lady!" We all agreed that this certainly was 'the wedding that no one will ever forget'! What was your favourite part of the story? Post us a comment and let us know.
