Last week the children enjoyed sharing their knowledge of gardens and 'growing'. This week we have been taking a closer look at some plants! Having talked about the different parts, we carefully looked at the roots of our strawberry plant . . . Then Henry brought in a plant from home. He told us "It's a Horse Chestnut tree, it's got a little conker inside the soil and it will grow big!" We took a closer look - can you see the big long root? It's now safely back inside the pot! As well as our strawberry plant, we are also trying to
grow some tomatoes, beans and sunflowers. Are you growing anything at home? Post us a comment and let us know!
