We enjoyed reading 'Kipper's Birthday' so much last week that we thought we could have a party for him at Nursery too! After we had talked about 'what makes a good party' and had written a menu, we got on with the food preparations! Harriet told us "We need an apron so we don't get food down our clothes. And we wash our hands so they're nice and clean". We all helped to make some currant buns - we knew that Kipper would like those! George said "We need flour and sugar and eggs - they're ingredients" He predicted that after they had been in the oven "They will be cooked and brown and crunchy". Everyone was very careful when they used the knife to make their healthy banana sandwich! Kipper was very excited as he watched all the preparations - and he thought the food tasted delicious! Have you got a favourite filling that you like to have in your sandwich? Post us a comment and let us know!
