As you know, last week George told us about the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, so this week we thought we would read Jasper's Beanstalk - a lovely story written by Mick Inkpen . . . One night after he had planted his bean, Jasper went out and picked up all
the slugs and snails. Joey told us this was "Cause they might eat the beanstalk" Oliver D really enjoyed the next part of the story - "It's funny, cause he mowed it!" We all agreed that Jasper should have been mowing the grass, not his bean! Hope told us "He was waiting for it to grow - the beanstalk - wait another day then it will grow" After we had finished the story, Hope said "He climbed up, he looked up - he saw a big giant, a huge one was up there and he climbed up to see if there are any more giants!" We all really enjoyed this book, we hope you do too!
