This week we have been sharing a number rhyme about 'Five Autumn Leaves'. We went out into our sensory garden and hunted for some laminated leaves with numerals on to create another new number line! We also used some of the autumn leaves that had fallen from the trees to print with, creating a repeating pattern . . . Using an activity on the computer we created similar repeating patterns . . . Everyone was very excited when the little brown mouse came back to visit - and we helped him to find his way home to the deep, dark wood by selecting from some laminated leaves to create a repeating pattern leaf path! The children have also been reflecting on their outdoor autumnal experiences . . . Arthur - "The leaves were floating off the trees onto the floor" Erin - "The leaves were red and big and they were falling from the trees" Eddie - "I ran down the hill in the leaves and it made a crunchy sound!" Perhaps you could enjoy some lovely autumn walks during the half term holiday!

Fern has enjoyed collecting fallen leaves at the ‘little park’ (Greenfields Park!) and putting them in the basket on her bike to carry home
