This week we have been sharing another lovely story written by Mick Inkpen . . . Arnold had a new toy baby owl which he proudly showed to Kipper who then
decided to find out the correct names for a variety of baby animals, using the computer to help him. After hearing the story, the children shared their favourite part . . . Maddie - "I liked the baby frog because he was little and called a froglet" Rhys - "I liked the hoglet because he rolls into a ball!" During a visit to the park, Arnold had thrown Small Grey Fluffy Owl into the pond to see if he would like to paddle with the ducks! After rescuing him, Kipper sat on the swing and spun him around to dry him out. Arabella liked this part of the story and told us "Kipper went on the swing and was holding Fluffy Grey Owl to dry". Back at home, Arnold and Kipper drew pictures of all the baby animals and wrote the names underneath - have you got a favourite baby animal? Post us a comment and let us know!
