We have been reading another great story written by Mick Inkpen . . . When Wibbly found his bean, Matilda predicted that he would
"Plant it, get a spade, dig a teeny weeny hole, put the seed in then cover it and then it will grow - but you need water!" Arabella told us "It is growing into a beanstalk so somebody can climb it and there's a castle at the top of it and somebody can go in it!" When asked if the children knew a story about a beanstalk, George excitedly told us "Jack and the Beanstalk! There's a man and he's got the beans and he grows them. It goes higher and higher all the way to the castle. The giant is coming, Jack hides quickly in his cupboard!" Have you got a favourite version of Jack and the Beanstalk?
