This week we have been finding out about Diwali, the festival of lights. This is one
of the most important festivals in the Hindu religious calendar and marks the end of the Hindu year.
We tried on some traditional Indian costume - it was very different to
the school uniform that we usually wear!
Mehndi is made from herbs and is used to draw patterns on the skin - we created some of our own designs!
Rangoli patterns are usually made with coloured powders or with flowers
and are put at the entrance to doorways.
We designed a collaborative one together with our magnetic shapes, trying
to make sure that we kept it symmetrical!
We all enjoyed dancing along to this great song about Diwali - we hope you enjoy it too!
